AFL-CIO plans to 'reveal' flaws in McCain health care plan

Over 100 AFL-CIO volunteers will visit 1,600 union households in the Manchester area this weekend to critique John McCain's health care plan.

The effort is part of a national effort, "McCain Revealed," in which the AFL-CIO will reach out to union members.

Granite State AFL-CIO organizers held a conference call to discuss the canvass and potential downside to McCain's health care purposal.

"We think the American people, and the people of New Hampshire, will reject this plan," Mark MacKenzie, New Hampshire president, said on a conference call.

"This plan does nothing to address the cost of health care," Dr. Stephen Gorin said.

According to McCain's presidential website, his plan would offer people the option of receiving a tax credit to offset the cost of insurance.
