Former congressional candidate Jim Forsythe (R-Strafford) has endorsed John Stephen (R-Manchester).
Forsythe was competing in the Republican primary for the First Congressional District before abandoning his bid.
"John Stephen intends bring change to Washington by being a strong advocate for limited government, low taxation, and States Rights," Forsythe said in a statement.
Forsythe will serve as campaign co-chair for Strafford County.
"Jim Forsythe represents the future of the Republican party in New Hampshire," Stephen said. "He has a very clear sense of New Hampshire values and the need to restore fiscal discipline, limited government and personal freedom to New Hampshire and to Washington."
Stephen is competing against former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

Jim who?
Jim who? This is news? LOL
Conservative vs. Moderate
If anybody needed clarification, this paints the picture of the September primary as a race between the conservative John Stephen and the moderate Jeb Bradley.
So goes the Ron Paul crowd
This would seem to indicate that the Ron Paul crowd is moving to Stephen. Do they represent a significant amount in this primary?
Do these Ron Paulers realize
Do these Ron Paulers realize that Stephens is a beuracrat? He has been working for the state Government for almost 20 years!
Poor Jeb
Looks like the GOP is going to throw Jeb to the wolves.
Not thrown to the wolves at all
It is a primary.
The GOP isn't throwing anyone to the wolves.
Isn't this why we have primaries?
JEB didn't follow true GOP principles... now it is time to see if Mr Stephen can when he gets to Washington.
We can quiz Mr Stephen and make sure he knows about the 9th and 10th Amendment to the US Constitution.
And knows how to vote NO on all non balanced budgets as all good GOPers should.
