Laconia city Councilor Greg Knytych (R-Laconia) has decided to challenge state Sen. Kathleen Sgambati (D-Tilton).
Knytych announced his decision this morning on the radio show Meet the New Press.
Senate District 4 covers Alton, Barnstead, Belmont, Gilford, Gilmanton, Laconia, New Durham, Strafford and Tilton.

Sgambati slipped into office
Sgambati slipped into office with the Democratic landslide. That was a once in a generation event. It won't be repeated this year. In 2006, Jim Coburn was at the top of the GOP ticket. He drew 25%. In 2008, it's John McCain, who's running neck and neck with Obama in NH. Senate District 4 will return to its traditional place -- with the GOP.
