Martin makes bid official

Judge Willard "Bud" Martin (D-Center Sandwich) has officially announced that he is running for the state senate.

"This is a great time to get excited about politics.  We need a Senator in Concord who is ready to work alongside Governor Lynch to continue to bring about constructive change on behalf of the families and businesses of New Hampshire," Martin said in a statement. "My training and experience put me in a good position to represent District 3, as we seek to balance protection of our community structures and resources with orderly and planned growth. As a small business owner, I understand the economic struggles that small businesses, the backbone of our local economy, are facing."

Martin has been a judge for the New Hampshire District and Family Division courts.

He is competing for the District 3 seat being abandoned by state Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield). Kenney is running for governor and thus unable to run for the state senate.

Former state Rep. Sam Cataldo (R-Wakefield) is rumored to be considering a run for the seat.

Bud Martin

I recently had the pleasure of attending Bud Martin's campaign Kick-Off on the MS Mount Washington this past Saturday.

Bud Martin is the perfect candidate for small business. His position papers on the environment show that he is in touch with the needs of the district and will work to preserve our special natural treasures that we have in SD-3

I look forward to continuing to work with Bud and urge others to get behind this community leader.

After all, "It's all about the community" - Bud Martin
