John Stephen Announces Carroll County Leadership TeamOver 100 Activist And Community Leaders Back Congressional Candidate
MANCHESTER, NH- 1st District Congressional candidate John Stephen today announced his Carroll County Leadership Team, a group of over 100 activists and business and community leaders who will work to help Stephen get elected to Congress.  The Leadership Team will direct organizational efforts in Carroll County and build a grassroots network to support the campaign's efforts across the county.
"Personally and professionally, I have always enjoyed my time in Carroll County," said Stephen.  "The region has a rich political tradition and I am thrilled to have the support of so many key leaders from across the county.  These are individuals with critical ground level involvement in their communities and they know how to get the message out throughout the area.  I am humbled by their backing me, because I know that this is a group of true leaders."
"John Stephen is one of the finest Public servants this State has every seen and he will make a great Congressman," stated Executive Councilor Ray Burton.  "That is why I enthusiastically support his candidacy."
"I am supporting John Stephen because I saw what he was able to accomplish in his four years as Commissioner of Health and Human Services," added Representative Carolyn Brown.  "He was able to improve efficiency, reduce costs, ensure services, and return $143 million to the taxpayers.  Given the opportunity, John Stephen will represent New Hampshire values in Washington as well as he did here at the state level."
"I am delighted to be supporting John Stephen for US Congress in the 1st District of New Hampshire for several reasons," noted Conway Selectman and former Representative Crow Dickinson.  "We agree on practically every issue and those we do not we can easily discuss.  Having served for 32 years in the New Hampshire House, I've worked closely with John on many issues.  When he was Commissioner of HHS, John Stephen saved taxpayers millions of dollars by eliminating wasteful programs and combining other services where possible.  John is tough on illegal immigration.  He also believes we have the right to defend ourselves, our families, our property, as well as the state and he is a compassionate family man who believes in helping those who need assistance to stand tall again, having regained their self-respect."John Stephen is a candidate we can all be proud of.  He will represent us well in Washington without being seduced by the temptations of the job."
