Update: Waxman to join Hodes for Concord fundraiser

U.S. Rep. Henry WaxmanU.S. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) will join U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) for a fundraiser next week.
Waxman will attend a fundraiser for the Merrimack County Democrats on July 12 in Concord at the Red River Theatres. A ticket to the event will cost $15.
Waxman is Chairman of the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee, a committee that Hodes also sits on.
Update: "Bringing a California Congressman to New Hampshire for headlines and cash only reinforces what we have been saying all along—Paul Hodes is beholden to Pelosi Politics," state Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) said in a statement. "He uses Waxman to hype himself and has voted with California’s Nancy Pelosi 98% of the time. I think we know which state his values come from, and it’s not the Granite State."

Anonymous5 - since you aren't even willing to use your name, I suspect you aren't exactly lovely.
As for Henry Waxman - he's a tireless advocate for truth. We could use many more just like him.
Why Waxman?
As a moderate democrat I have to ask why is he coming here? Ok, he heads the oversight committee, but Hodes could have done a lot better. Waxman is as left as they come, and is the rep for Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Hollywood, and other posh districts in California. A more blue dog Dem could have done much better in NH (think Mike Arcuri from NY). All Waxman will do is bring in the anti Bush/Cheney crowd which could potentially paint Hodes as a far left incumbent, which they are starting to do already by publishing his voting record.
I guess 15 bucks is 15 bucks.
