Billy Shaheen will be speaking at the official opening of the headquarters for various Granite State Democratic campaigns.

Billy Shaheen, often a fixture on the campaign trail, has rarely been seen at events since he resigned as co-chair of U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton's New Hampshire campaign in December. Shaheen will be representing, his wife, Jeanne Shaheen's (D-Madbury) U.S. Senate campaign.

The event will celebrate the opening of the offices for the Manchester Democratic Committee, the New Hampshire Democratic Party, the House and Senate caucuses and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.

The opening is set to take place on July 21 at 6:00pm at 379 Elm St. The building also holds the campaign office for Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton) and a field office for Shaheen.

Desperation?

Will Bill talk about how the big bad GOP will go after Obama's past use of drugs?

Hillary didn't unleash her Bill -- Slick Willie -- until she was desperate. Jeanne's bringing out her Bill, who's also a potential liabilty, when she's ahead in the polls. The same day she fires her campaign manager. It will be interesting to see the next poll numbers. Perhaps Shaheen's internal nembers indicate a surge by Sununu. Thus the two desperate moves by Shaheen.

Stupid Move

Bill Shaheen was poorly regarded by a lot of Democrats well before he shot of his mouth with the "cocaine" remarks last winter. It's just that he is a bully, so they were afraid to say anything. Putting Bill back in the forefront is going to aggravate a lot of Obama supporters.
