Sullivan files complaint against NHAC

Former New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairwoman Kathy Sullivan has filed a complaint against the New Hampshire Advantage Coalition. In a letter to Attorney General Kelly Ayotte, Sullivan says that the group has broken seven election and tax laws, but Mike Biundo, chairman of NHAC, says the allegations are not true.

Sullivan alleges that the group has not filed as a political action committee, has not put disclosures on campaign materials and is violating their nonprofit status by promoting the candidacy of group members.

"It's time to clear the air on the New Hampshire Advantage Coalition -- who they are, where their money comes from, which powerful interests they are protecting, and why these candidates think they can abuse nonprofit laws to promote their campaigns," said Sullivan in a press release. "This group is caught in a tangled mess of election and tax laws in a desperate attempt to hide their powerful friends."

Biundo says the group is operating as a 501 c (4) and said they are "winning the battle of ideas."

"NHAC is a registered 501 c (4) and is operating as such. We have collected 8,000 signatures of Republicans, Democrats and Independents that want to keep their taxes down," Biundo said in an e-mail. "It is obvious that Kathy Sullivan and her tax and spend friends are concerned about NHAC's effort to curb spending and cut taxes. NHAC is a predominately volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to defend the New Hampshire Advantage and protect the New Hampshire taxpayers. We are winning the battle of ideas and that obviously has them concerned."

Kathy Sullivan is the worst attorney in New Hampshire. Sure she is a political hack, you can't fault her for that. Anyone reading this site is, but what is astonishing is that anyone would pay her for her shoddy and dis respectable legal analysis.

This is news? I guess Kathy opted to leave out the part where she discloses that her Husband John Rist is the Principal of Central High in Manchester, and we know how much teachers and admin love any sort of cap.

The truth is that this is a desperate attempt by a bunch of whiners, who are in fact losing the battle of ideas and public opinion.

Hi,

Don't beat up on Kathy...the real problem
is in our election laws in many states, not
only in NH.

The process of making the people via PACs,
political committees, etc to report their
acts of free speech and free associations
to the state is unconstitutional.

What all the states in our country should be
doing is keeping the actual election process,
that is the right to vote and the right to
have every vote counted, to be a pure and
an open process to the people.

This is proof of how LOW the NH Dems will go to stop people from trying to reel in out of control taxation, something that would REALLY help the middle-to-low class of earners.

Don't forget, this is the same Kathy Sullivan who harbored an illegal voter -- Geoff Wetrosky -- who first was caught stealing signs and then had the NERVE to vote in a LOCAL election illegally. He then fled to South Dakota where just recently he lied AGAIN, this time to a reporter telling her that he had rented an apartment when he was in NH.

Unless Sullivan's home on Mammoth Rd is divided up into aparartments, that's a blatant LIE.

So, Sullivan knowingly aided and abetted VOTE FRAUD.

She needs to be stripped of her right to practice law in this state!!!!!!!!!

How many Democrats need to be breaking the law before THEY got to jail? We have a do-nothing SoS and AG when it comes to protecting even the most basic of rights in this state, such as legal voting, mail fraud and such.

State house phone jams, post office mail jamming, sign stealing, illegal voting, and money from outside sources of dubious origin, all add up to the corruption of the NH Democrats.

This is the best they have to offer -- Sullivan and her sidekick Buckley?

I would think that Ms. Sullivan and those quick to infer that either Biundo or Simmons have broken any laws would be a little more careful. Think of 2 words, libel and slander. Not that it would be shocking to see Sullivan or her minions spread false stories about people to try and damage their reputation. I hope that Biundo and Simmons sue the pants off of them.

Sullivan is right though - the NHAC protects very powerful interests: the interests of New Hampshire taxpayers.
