Jeb Bradley Caught Fibbing In Radio DebateCandidate Reinvents Record On Death Penalty Vote
MANCHESTER, NH- In an on-air debate this morning, Jeb Bradley attempted to reinvent his record on the death penalty. In the State House, Bradley voted twice to abolish the death penalty in New Hampshire (HB 1548, Roll call #120, 6/27/2000 & HB 171, Roll call #45, 4/5/2001), yet in the debate, he claimed to have always supported the death penalty.
"Jeb Bradley seems to want to forget that fact that he has a record for the public to see," said John Stephen. "Unfortunately, this is just the type of thing that happens all the time in Washington. He voted to abolish the death penalty and doesn't have the guts to admit it. If he wants to flip his position, as he has on many issues, he should say so, but don't try to fool the public by pretending that the facts don't exist. Jeb Bradley needs to stand behind his record, not run away from it."
