LACONIA-- State Sen. Kathleen Sgambati (D-Tilton) was elected in 2006 with strong support from towns such as Tilton and Strafford and she hopes to repeat that strategy in her bid for re-election.
"I think I have to do well in all of them [towns]," Sgambati told PolitickerNH.com in an interview. "I won every town last time except for Alton and we're going to try and keep the numbers close and keep working to get the message out."
Sgambati is running against Greg Knytych (R-Laconia) in state senate district four.
Sgambati added that she would be running on her record over the past two-years.
"It's a difficult district for a Democrat but I'm proud to run on the work I've done and we'll be working all the way through election day," Sgambati said.
With no straight-ticket-voting this year Sgambati is unsure what impact Gov. Lynch (D-Hopkinton) will have on races down the ballot.
"Because there's no straight-ticket-voting I'm sure what the effect will be. Clearly working closely with Gov. Lynch in promoting small business health insurance and some of the environmental protections clearly play through."
