Update: N.H. senate Dems raise over $1M

The New Hampshire state senate Democrats has raised $1.7 million this period.

The figure is a combination from the Democratic Senate campaigns and the Senate Democratic Caucus.

"We are very excited to have the resources to run successful re-election campaigns and mount competitive challenges," state Sen. Sylvia Larsen (D-Concord) said in a press release. "That said, I've never believed that simply having more dollars wins elections. Our Senators and candidates are going door-to-door, holding town hall meetings, and engaging in the retail politics that New Hampshire voters expect."

Among the Democrats that have filed as of this posting, Sandra Amlaw (D-Hillsboro) raised the least amount of money at $805, while state Sen. Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester) raised $28,845 and ended the period with a surplus of $191,171. State Sen. Kathy Sgambati (D-Tilton) raked-in $14,000 and state Sen. Harold Janeway (D-Webster) raised $8,751.

Update: Jay Phinizy (D-Acworth) raised $14, 853 and ended with $11,408 while fellow candidate state Rep. Martha McLeod (D-Franconia) raised $28,419 and closed with $27,335. Bob Backus (D-Manchester), running again against state Sen. Ted Gatsas (D-Manchester), raised $30,385 and ended the period with a surplus of $51,157.

The Democratic state senators are also reporting. State Sen. Jackie Cilley (D-Barrington) raised $10,689 and ended with $26,191 in the bank, while state Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-Exeter) raised $24,583 and closed the period with $69,822.
