Bradley responds to Stephen’s ad

Former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) has released a television ad to respond to an ad released earlier this week by his primary opponent John Stephen (R-Manchester).

Stephen's television spot is critical of Bradley's congressional voting record, and Bradley's ad strikes back at Stephen's record.

"Big spending bureaucrat John Stephen, falsely attacking Jeb Bradley," the announcer states in Bradley's response. "John Stephen's record? Increased spending at HHS by $438 million."

Bradley's campaign manager Periklis Karoutas said Stephen has "continually misled voters."

"We thought it was important to set the record straight. Commissioner John Stephens has continually misled voters and his new attack ad is no exception," said Karoutas in a press release.

Greg Moore, Stephen's campaign manager, said the ad is filled with inaccuracies.

"If deception and dishonesty were Olympic sports this ad would win a gold medal," Moore told PolitickerNH.com. "The whole ad is complete with inaccurate statements and it says nothing about why the voters should send back the person they threw out of office two years ago."

Moore added that has a department head Stephen did not increase spending and said seniors were not "neglected" by Stephen's policies, both claims made by Bradley's ad.

The ad finishes with the line, "more spending, higher taxes, mismanagement and waste. That's no change that's just more of the same."

Bradley's ad, which can be viewed below, has begun airing on WMUR and cable networks.

picture stolen from John Stephen website

Way to go Jeb, not only is the ad slanderous and false, but you also stole the pictures of John Stephen from his website. Isn't copyright infringement illegal?

Most Dishonest Ad Ever

Jeb Bradley’s most recent TV commercial is if not the most dishonest, its certainly one of the most dishonest ads ever run in New Hampshire. It contains complete falsehoods and outright lies about John Stephen’s record at HHS. Jeb should be ashamed of himself and take it down immediately.

Jeb is a guy who voted against drilling five times, voted in favor of a teapot museum, and when he was in Concord as a State Rep voted twice against the death penalty.

He lost in 2006 to probably the most liberal candidate to ever run for the US Congress from New Hampshire Carol Shea-Porter and after loosing to her gave over $20,000 in bonuses to his staff from Campaign contributions, and he wants us to return him to Washington. I can’t believe it. A one-way ticket to Wolfeboro is the only place I would send him.

So True and About Time

It is about time people focused on who John Stephen really is! His cost-shifting hurt millions of NH residents and raised our taxes. There is absolutely NOTHING fiscally conservative about that. I am glad Bradley responded to Stephen's attack misleading attack ads. It's about time we heard the truth of Stephen's bureaucratic tendencies.

The ad ...

The ad looks pretty good to me, especially since most of it is quoted from the UL, the same newspaper that has endorsed Stephen!
