Pappas on Manchester politics

DENVER-Manchester Democratic Chairman Chris Pappas thinks Queen City Democrats are poised to gain seats in the house and senate.

Pappas said he is confident that state Sen. Betsi DeVries (D-Manchester) will win re-election and Bob Backus (D-Manchester) will defeat state Sen. Ted Gatsas (D-Manchester).

"No one is working harder than Betsi DeVries and Bob Backus," Pappas said. "Betsi DeVries is strong on constituency service and she's not taking anything for granted. Bob Backus is ahead of where he was two years ago when he was an upstart candidate."

Pappas also is optimistic about the chances of winning additional house seats.

"We've got more candidates running than at any point I can remember," he said. "We feel very good; we've got a good mix of people running."

Pappas added that he thinks U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) will carry Manchester in November.

"She's doing better and better every day," he said. "She's working very hard and reaching out to important groups in Manchester like veterans."

Here's a prediction . . . .

. . . Bob Burns will smoke Chris Pappas in the race for County Treasurer.

He needs to stop feathering his nest

The little Papling needs to realize that he has ticked some Democrats off by holding every party event at his restaurant and billing the committee an arm and a leg for it. That might be good for business but it is bad politics!

No show Manch reps.

Now if Pappas can only get the elected Manchester state reps with a "D" to show up for work.

Pappas will lose...

It seems clear that Chris Pappas is running scared and knows that Bob Burns will beat him in the County Treasure's race. How can Chris manage the county's finances if he can't even renew the domain name for the Manchester Dems?

Choose Kruse

In the past two city cycles Doug Kruse has received more votes for School Board than Betsi Devries recieved for Alderman. Consider that more people generally vote in the alderman races than in the school board races.

More people choose Doug Kruse than Betsi Devries.

Betsi loses, Gatsas keeps his seat, Republicans pick up 11 house seats in Manchester.

Too bad Mr. Pappas.

Was it a good party boys?

Whoever said Young Republicans don't get drunk and high hasn't read the above babble.

Poor Manchester Young Republicans.

You boys started the NHGOP wake a little early didn't you?

You forgot to through in John Lynch's signs are ugly and you hate Jeanne Shaheen's necklace.

Boys, grow up. You are embarassing yourselves.
