Senator Ted Gatsas praises the PUC for Expediting their Decision

CONCORD, NH - In response to the decision of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Office of New Hampshire, State Senator Theodore L. Gatsas (R-Manchester) praises the agency for reaching a conclusion so swiftly based on the legislation that was passed.

“The PUC saved jobs and saved the tax base for the town of Bow by accelerating their decision on the scrubber project at the Merrimack Station in Bow, NH,” said Gatsas, “everyday that we delayed this decision it could have cost the ratepayers of New Hampshire more money.”

“Merrimack Station in Bow provides 30% of the power in PSNH’s portfolio and that is something we could not afford to have lost” Gatsas stated.

Senator Ted Gatsas is the minority leader in the New Hampshire State Senate currently serving his fourth term. He represents Senate District 16 comprised of: Bow, Candia, Dunbarton, Hooksett and Manchester Wards 1, 2 and 12.
