With Stop Today in Brookfield, Executive Councilor Shea Visits All 67 Cities and Towns in His District

John Shea is Listening to Voters and Advocating for them in Concord

CONCORD - With a stop today in Brookfield, Executive Councilor John Shea has now visited all 67 towns in District, from Acworth to Windsor, over the past 18 months, part of his effort to open up state government and listen to voters.

"Over the past two years, I have worked hard to open up state government, be a watchdog for taxpayers and strong advocate for the people of District 2.  Executive Councilors must be responsive and responsible public officials, and by traveling to every town in my district since taking office I have tried to ensure that local communities have a real voice in our government," Shea said.

In addition to visiting every town in his district, Councilor Shea has worked hard to help open up state government for people. He held several public hearings throughout District 2 on the state's 10-Year Highway Plan and the Council has begun holding public hearing on the
governor's nominees to run agencies, as well as for judges.

Shea worked with Gov. Lynch to make the tough decisions necessary to put together a fiscally responsible 10-year plan, which will allow the state to move forward with critical road and bridge projects, including repairing more than 80 red-listed bridges and expanding the
Spaulding Turnpike.

Councilor Shea is a former State Representative and City Councilor from Keene. Actively engaged in his community, he is a member of the American Legion Post 4, the Knights of Columbus #819, and volunteers for the Rivier Institute for Senior Education, a group that provides learning opportunities for people of 55 years or more.
