"John Sununu has been there with George Bush every step of the way," Shaheen told voters at Travers Village Eatery.

Shaheen is running against current U. S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) for the United States Senate. The race is a rematch of their 2002 race when Sununu defeated Shaheen.

The Madbury Democrat said that Sununu has voted in "lock step" with Bush on budgets, tax policies and the war in Iraq.

"We can't afford that type of leadership in Washington," Shaheen added.

Shaheen also took aim at Sununu's claim that he is a fiscal conservative and Shaheen will increase spending.

"John Sununu keeps saying that I'm a big spender, well when I was governor I submitted balanced budgets and when they weren't I cut spending" she said.

Give it up Jeannie

Shaheen is an old hack taxer who should just give it up now.

Non-private elections? What are you kidding?

Between this stuff and the new thugocracy that we may face with an Obama win, there will be no freedom and no privacy.

Ray Buckley -- oh, the Amsterdam Democrat? LOL
