Janeway Picks Environmental Extremists Over New Hampshire
Embraces radical ideology from group suing state over multiple use plan
"New Hampshire developed a bi-partisan multiple use plan that both preserves our natural resources and our ability to enjoy them," said Sanborn. "I'm disappointed that Harold Janeway has chosen to turn his back against this plan, and side with environmental extremists who want to tell us what to do with the White Mountain National Forest."
Andy Sanborn is an active outdoorsman, motorcyclist, and snowmobiler. Sanborn supports the locally developed White Mountain National Forest Plan, which came from years of work between New Hampshire residents, forest managers, hikers, hunters, and loggers. The Sierra Club has sued to block this Forest Plan, requiring the state to use taxpayer money to defend a working agreement in the courts. Such money and resources could be used to help New Hampshire citizens pay for the high cost of home heating oil.
"As an avid snowmobiler, I understand how important multiple use is for New Hampshire," Sanborn continued. "By embracing the Sierra Club's radical agenda, Janeway has put environmental extremists ahead of New Hampshire citizens, and will cost New Hampshire taxpayers too much money to defend an existing agreement."
