Curb your enthusiasm, part 1

A new wrinkle in the University of New Hampshire Survey Center's Granite State Poll is a measurement of the certainty of voter choices. David Moore, a senior fellow with the Carsey Institute at UNH, offers an explanation worth reading here.

Barack Obama's advantage in voter enthusiasm has been documented by recent polling. Of course, we've been down this road before with the U.S. senator from Illinois. In the days before the New Hampshire primary, lots of observers (including this one) thought enthusiasm was on Obama's side after his win in Iowa. But voter volatility undercut so-called "momentum" in the five days between the caucus and the first-in-the-nation primary, and Hillary Clinton emerged the surprise winner that Tuesday night in January.

So far, according to the survey center's latest, Obama enjoys an edge among "definitely decided" voters, though not an overwhelming one, over John McCain.

Six out of 10 Obama voters say they have definitely decided, slightly better than the 53 percent of McCain voters. Statewide, 51 percent say they have definitely decided.

This edge is duplicated when we look at voters by party and ideology:

  • Among Democrats, 58 percent say they have definitely decided, compared to 50 percent of Republicans (and just 32 percent of independents).
  • Two-thirds of liberals say they have definitely made up their minds, compared to 56 percent of conservatives (and just 39 percent of moderates).

Who did they poll?

Let's face it, polls like this are always geared to liberals and thus can't be taken seriously.

An Obama presidency would be a disaster for so many reasons to the thinking person that to even have to explain it to supposedly seasoned politicos is mindboggling.

I mean, there are absolutely NO qualifications behind him other than his controllers which are big corporate elitists, the CFR, and the UN. (Goldman Sachs and a few sub-prime criminals too) not to mention Brzezinski.

And to think he belonged to a blatantly racist church for years and never did anything about it is an indictment.

What if someone had a poster of Hitler in their campaign office? The fact that this man reveres murderous dictators like Che Guevara (posters in his campaign office) and looked up to other dangerous people like Louis Farrakhan and others from the CPUSA, automatically disqualifies him to be dogcatcher let alone president.

Shame on the media for being shills for this man.

Any changing trends

This is an interesting set of statistics. I wonder if there is any similar historical data? How might it have changed over time?

(Congratulations for my fellow poster for staying right on the talking points even when they are pretty much irrelevant)

Men in Black

Ooohhh "NH".... you are truly...special.

Is Obama a mason? Will the Illuminati come swooping into DC with space ships on Inaugural Day, if Obama, the Beast 666, is elected?

I swear to my creator, you are unhinged.

Freedom of Speech be praised because it takes ALL kinds.

Remind us about GW Bush's resume? He had less experience than Obama....who didn't need a rich daddy to buy him a degree and a series of "jobs."
