Former Democratic Congressional candidate Gary Dodds said he was "disappointed" with three guilty verdicts against him yesterday that he faked his disappearance in after a car wreck 2004 to get publicity for his campaign.
Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America" today, Dodds broke down after he was asked what his daughters, who are 10 and 15-years-old felt about the possibility he faces nine years of jail time.
"It's just mind-boggling," Dodds's lawyer J.P. Nadeau said of the verdict.
Then host Diane Sawyer asked Dodds if he would ever run for Congress again.
"I don't know," he said.
Asked if he had any last statement, Dodds said, "May God have mercy of their souls. On some of the people."
He will be sentenced last month.
