(Manchester) - Below is a statement from NHDP Chair Raymond Buckley on the results of the first congressional district GOP primary:
"What has Jeb Bradley done in the past two years to deserve to return to Washington?
He's still the same politician who voted against increasing the minimum wage.
He's still the same politician who voted with the Republican party nearly 90% of the time.
He's still the same politician who voted for a $40 billion budget cut bill that saved HMOs $22 billion.
He's still the same politician who voted for the largest cuts to federal student aid in history at a time of skyrocketing tuition costs.
New Hampshire voters spoke loud and clear in 2006 when they removed Bradley from office.
There are major problems facing our country and I am confident that the voters will again choose the selfless service that Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter has offered our state."
