Two weddings involving prominent names in New Hampshire politics were written up in today's New York Times.
Sarah Gregg, the daughter of U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg, was married yesterday in Rye. She now lives in New York City.
More prominently featured was Dr. Bill Siroty, the Nashua internist and liberal activist, who committed to a civil union last month. Siroty was a major backer of Bill Bradley's presidential campaign and during that year started New Hampshire News Links, a compendum of cut and paste links from local news outlets on politics. What started out as an e-mail to Bradley staffers and friends became a must-read and eventually found a home on the internet. (PolitickerNH.com's Brian Lawson aided in the production of the newslinks for a time.)
Siroty was married by SEIU activist Beth Campbell, who became a justice of the peace for the event.
UPDATE: Just an hour ago, the Associated Press reported that Rev. Gene Robinson, the New Hampshire Episcopal bishop at the center of international controversy for being gay, also entered into a civil union Saturday with his partner Mark Andrew.
