CONCORD – Joined by his wife, Ann-Marie Letourneau, State Senator Robert "Bob" Letourneau of Derry officially filed for re-election to State Senate District 19 today. Letourneau is seeking his third term in the State Senate representing the towns of Derry, Hampstead and Windham.
"I am honored by the trust and confidence the voters of Derry, Windham and Hampstead have placed in me, and I look forward to continue to serve them in the New Hampshire Senate," said Letourneau. "I will continue to be a strong voice for the people of the district and work to address the many challenges facing our state."
Letourneau is chairman of the Senate Transportation and Interstate Cooperation Committee. The Senator also serves on the Senate Judiciary, Education, and Election Law and Internal Affairs committees. Previously, Letourneau served four terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where he served as Assistant Majority Leader.
"We face many challenges in Concord over the next two years," said Letourneau, "and I look forward to ensuring that the issues critical to this district, such as education funding and the expansion of Interstate-93, continue to move forward. If re-elected, I will continue to be a strong voice for citizens of this district and a watchdog for local taxpayers."
Senator Letourneau and his wife have three adult children, Diane, Robert II. and David. Letourneau is an electronics technician and a former small-business owner.
