GREGG AND SUNUNU ANNOUNCE SENATE COMMITTEE SUPPORT FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE’S COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS
$650,000 will support care for uninsured and underserved patients
WASHINGTON- U.S. Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu (R-NH) today announced that the Senate Appropriations Committee has approved $650,000 in federal funding for New Hampshire’s community health centers. Bi-State Primary Care Association in Concord will receive the funds to provide care for uninsured and underserved patients at community health centers throughout New Hampshire. Funding for this project is included in the Fiscal Year 2009 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations bill, which is now ready for consideration by the full Senate. The funding is included within the Committee allocation set out for the Fiscal Year 2009 spending measures.
