GREGG, SUNUNU ANNOUNCE $106,091 IN SUPPLEMENTAL TAA FUNDS FOR LAID-OFF NEW HAMPSHIRE WORKERS

WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu (R-NH) today (10/1) announced that the United States Department of Labor has released $106,091 in supplemental Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) funds for New Hampshire.  The allocation, which includes $68,953 for job training efforts and $23,300 for job search and relocation costs, will support that State’s existing TAA-funded programs to assist workers who have lost their jobs due to increased imports from foreign countries.

Monies targeted for public/private partnership including Hanover’s Hypertherm, Lebanon’s Timken, Claremont’s River Valley Community College

WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu (R-NH) today (6/30) announced the United States Department of Labor has approved $1.8 million in federal funding for distribution by the New Hampshire Department of Labor for Upper Valley workers to upgrade their manufacturing skills through the implementation of an advanced manufacturing training program.

CONCORD - Gov. John Lynch announced today the state has been awarded a $1.8 million federal grant, which will provide 150 displaced workers with an accelerated apprenticeship program and guaranteed jobs in two New Hampshire-based advanced manufacturing companies.
