Barnett says campaign focused on grassroots

MINNEAPOLIS--U.S. Sen. John McCain's campaign is building their grassroots operation in New Hampshire, according to the New England regional campaign manager.

"We're very strong, we're making tens-of-thousands of calls a day," Jim Barnett said in an interview with PolitickerNH.com. "We have town chairs throughout the state and in some towns we have more than one chair. We've got a strong coalitions outreach effort and we're reaching out to voters."

Nader collecting signatures to gain ballot access

Presidential candidate Ralph Nader is in the process of collecting enough signatures so his name can appear on the November ballot in New Hampshire.

"We are in the process of collecting the necessary signatures," said Nader's national ballot access coordinator Jason Kafoury. "Our goal is to get 3,000 signatures per congressional district."

Nader has also brought on a state co-coordinator, Gary Hoffman, who is overseeing the effort.
