    Bruno offers advice for N.H. Dems hoping for job in Obama administration

    A prominent New Hampshire Democratic activist who became an ambassador said that local politicos who are looking for a cushy ambassadorship or a job in the Obama administration should find something "within their area of expertise."

    George Bruno, former chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party and U.S. ambassador to Belize, said that his transition from party activist to ambassador went smoothly.

    Prominent supports of Barack Obama and John McCain each said that their chosen candidate had the best debate last night.

    Jim Demers, Obama's New Hampshire chairman, said Obama focused on issues Americans care about, while Fergus Cullen, the New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman, said McCain demonstrated his bipartisan record.

    Kennedy supporters recall convention speech

    DENVER-A New Hampshire delegate and a former college classmate of U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) each called the senator's speech before the Democratic National Convention "courageous."

    John Rauh and Kennedy were members of Harvard's class of 1954, and Jim Demers was a backer of Kennedy's 1980 presidential campaign.
