Did someone change the state senate districts in NH this week and not tell me?  Both highly respected reporters Kevin Landrigan and John DiStaso reported this week that Amanda Merrill and Peter Macdonald were battling it out for the District 24 seat.  Last I checked I thought they were in the 21st district. 

U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told The Union Leader that he has to closely examine the possibility of opening Seabrook Unit 2. The unit is a part of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant located on the New Hampshire Seacoast but the unit has never been opened.

"I've been told, and I'm not an expert on it, but I've been told that that may have some viability," MCain told The Union Leader's John DiStaso. "But I'd like to look at it some more."

U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) has decided to join the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's (DCCC) fundraising program, The Union Leader is reporting.

The program, Frontline, aims to help freshmen Democrats with fundraising and other political activities.

The Union Leader's John DiStaso said State Senator Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) wouldn't say whether or not he will announce a Congressional bid tomorrow in Concord, but DiStaso's sources tell him it is "virtually certain".
