Buckley takes responsibility for UL story

DENVER-New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley took personal responsibility for a story that appeared in this morning's Union Leader.

The article quotes Buckley has saying that a recent Democratic commission, formed to change the primary system, would not affect the New Hampshire primary, but state Sen. Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester) said in the same article that there is a "50-50" percent that the Granite State would not retain the first-in-the-nation primary.

D’Allesandro ‘deeply saddened’ by news of Edwards affair

State Sen. Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester), a close friend of Elizabeth Edwards, says he is "deeply saddened" to learn the news that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards has admitted an affair in an interview with ABC News.

D'Allesandro told PolitickerNH.com that he considers Elizabeth Edwards a "close, personal friend" and extends his sympathies to the family.

Obama campaign opens Manchester headquarters

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's "Campaign for Change" opened its Manchester headquarters with both a crowd of supporters and protestors standing outside the building.

Speaking at the event were New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley, Obama senior advisor Jim Demers, New Hampshire Democratic Party Political Director Mike Brunelle, state Sens. Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester) and Sylvia Larsen (D-Concord) and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

MANCHESTER- Manchester Democrats honored state Sen. Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester) at their annual Flag Day fundraiser.

Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkington) told a story that he was at Fenway Park for New Hampshire Day and a guy came up to him and said he knew D'Allesandro.
