The ad features Ray Schoenke, a former Washington Redskins player and current president of the American Hunters and Shooters Association.

WINDHAM - The New Hampshire chapter of the grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) today launched a statewide issue ad blitz to encourage Jeanne Shaheen to discard a futile energy plan that won't lower energy prices or significantly increase domestic production. The ad, which begins airing August 14, 2008, will hit every major media market in the state, including Boston. The issue ad quotes from a recent Union Leader editorial and urges citizens to contact Jeanne Shaheen and ask her to support domestic oil production and energy independence.

Former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen (R-Manchester) has released a radio ad featuring Tommy Thompson.

In the ad, Thompson, a former Wisconsin governor and former secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, praises Stephen for his efforts to reform welfare.

Sierra Club releases TV ad

The National Sierra Club has begun airing a television ad that criticizes U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) energy plan. The ad buy was first reported by PolitickerNH.com earlier this week.

The Sierra Club has also been airing a radio ad that defends U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

Update: RNC begins airing radio ad in Berlin, N.H.

While U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is visiting Berlin, Germany voters in Berlin, New Hampshire will hear a radio ad critical of Obama's record on troop funding.

The Republican National Committee is sponsoring the sixty-second ad titled "Obama Chooses Washington over Our Military."
