AFSCME buys ad time against Sununu

The American Federation of State County & Municipal Employees People (AFSCME) has bought a significant amount of ad time to television ads run against incumbent U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley).

According to reports filed with the FEC, AFSCME has bought $535,000 worth of ads against Sununu.

U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes was able to outraise and outspend, his opponent, according to the latest round of Federal Election Commission reports.

The Concord Democratic congressman is running for re-election in the 2nd Congressional District against Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua).

N.H. Dems raise more than N.H GOP

Lost in all the candidate fillings we neglected to mention the FEC filings from the New Hampshire Republican Party (NHGOP) and the New Hampshire Democratic Party (NHDP).

During the month of June the NHDP raised almost nine times more money than the NHGOP. The state Democrats raised $259,959 and spent $228,155; while the NHGOP raised $30,480 and spent $17,906. A part of the NHDP total is transfers from the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committe  that total $177,707. The Republicans had a $15,000 transfer from the Republican National Committee.

A look back at the FEC preview

Two weeks ago I took a look ahead at what to expect from the 2nd quarter FEC numbers.  Now we get to see where we are.

I said then the numbers don’t matter a lot as both candidates will have plenty of money.  After the reports have been filed, both candidates have plenty of money.
