Sgambati focused on every town in re-election bid

LACONIA-- State Sen. Kathleen Sgambati (D-Tilton) was elected in 2006 with strong support from towns such as Tilton and Strafford and she hopes to repeat that strategy in her bid for re-election.

"I think I have to do well in all of them [towns]," Sgambati told PolitickerNH.com in an interview. "I won every town last time except for Alton and we're going to try and keep the numbers close and keep working to get the message out."

Knytych running on state spending

LACONIA- State Sen. Candidate Greg Knytych (R-Laconia) thinks the current budget deficit is his opponent's biggest weakness.

There are too many expenses being passed down to the property taxpayers through the counties and that has to stop. Knytych feels that Spending must be controlled in Concord while protecting the traditional New Hampshire values and way of life. Knytych thinks the idea is simple, we can't have over 17% budget increases and looming deficits and Legislators thinking that we just need to raise taxes or create new taxes to pay for this.

Knytych announced his decision this morning on the radio show Meet the New Press.

Sgambati to run for re-election

State Senator Kathy Sgambati (D-Tilton) has decided to run for re-election.

"The voters of District 4 trusted me to represent them and I have worked hard to honor that trust. I first ran for office to increase access to affordable health care, to protect New Hampshire's natural assets and to support small businesses," Sgambati said in a press release. "We have made substantial progress on all of these fronts."
