Sununu disagrees with McCain on fundamentals of economy

U.S. Sen. John Sununu: Senator's Office PhotoU.S. Sen. John Sununu: Senator's Office PhotoU.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) disagrees with his close friend, U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who has been arguing that the foundation of the U.S. economy is sound.

"I think it's very difficult to make a statement about the fundamentals given the significant changes we've seen in the last couple of days," Sununu said on a conference call with reporters, but he added that steps are being taken to strengthen the financial market.

Sununu Dodges Question on McCain's Economic Plan

Concord Monitor: "Asked whether he agrees with the tax plan of his own party's nominee, Sununu demurred. 'I don't know everything that John McCain has proposed on taxes,' he said."

(Manchester, NH) - Yesterday, John Sununu dodged a question about whether he supports John McCain's economic plan to give huge tax breaks to multimillionaires and do next to nothing to help America's middle class. While Sununu may be ashamed to admit it, he has already supported McCain's proposals -- they're exactly the same as the Bush economic agenda that Sununu has wholeheartedly supported.
