             PORTSMOUTH, NH – United States Senator John Sununu (R-NH) today (8/13) marked National Health Center Week by touring the mobile van used by Portsmouth’s Families First Health and Support Center to deliver health care services to the homeless.  Earlier in the day, Sununu also met with Community Health Center Directors from across the state at Franklin’s Health First Family Care Center where he also toured the 841 Central Street facility.

Shea-Porter Announces HHS Grant to Ensure Access to Health Care Coverage

 

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter announced today that New Hampshire has been awarded a nearly $900,000 federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  The grant will be used to offset the cost of providing health insurance to New Hampshire residents who cannot get conventional health insurance because of their health status.

Congressman Hodes Applauds Federal Grant for Expanded Health Care Access

 

Washington, DC—Congressman Paul Hodes applauded the US Department of Health and Human Services for awarding New Hampshire an $882,252 grant to help expand health care access for working New Hampshire families. The grant will go to the New Hampshire Health Plan which helps insure high risk applicants who otherwise would have gone uninsured.

Bipartisan effort tackles tough issues of health care and retirement

(Hillsboro)   Republican Grant Bosse today proudly joined "Divided We Fail", a bipartisan group dedicated to improving access to affordable health care and strengthening Social Security.  Bosse is the only candidate in the Second Congressional District to outline a comprehensive Health Care Plan, and has long advocated saving Social Security by reforming the program.  State Senator Bob Clegg has previously signed on to the group's effort.

On John Sununu Co-Sponsoring S. 3072

Yesterday John Sununu co-sponsored S. 3072, a series of health care
policies that will hurt New Hampshire’s workers by making health care
more expensive and less accessible.  The Sununu proposal simply helps
insurers provide less coverage but still make money selling policies.
Meanwhile, working families would get stuck with ever-increasing
insurance bills due to inadequate coverage.
