FUNDING TO BUILD HOUSING FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE’S HOMELESS VETERANS

VA grants to Harbor Homes will fund construction of 40 new apartments for homeless veterans in Nashua and Manchester, and the purchase of two vans

WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu (R-NH) today (9/24) announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded $1.2 million in funding to Harbor Homes, Inc., of Nashua to construct 40 new apartments for homeless veterans in Nashua and Manchester.  The Manchester facility, which will be owned by Harbor Homes, will be operated by Manchester’s Liberty House, a homeless shelter for veterans.  In addition, the VA has approved two grants of $26,942 to Harbor Homes to purchase two vans to transport homeless veterans to health care and training programs.

GREGG, SUNUNU ANNOUNCE $200,000 GRANT FOR HOUSING AND SERVICES FOR HOMELESS VETERANS IN NASHUA

WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu (R-NH) today (6/25) announced that the U.S. Department of Labor has awarded $200,000 in funding to Harbor Homes, Inc., of Nashua to help reintegrate homeless veterans into the labor force.  The funding was made available through The Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP), which provides emergency shelter, job counseling, transportation, and other assistance to homeless veterans.
