Hodes, Shea-Porter vote against FISA

The US House today approved the controversial FISA bill by a vote of 293-129.  New Hampshire’s two congressional members, Paul Hodes (NH-01) and Carol Shea-Porter (NH-02) were both among the 129 to vote against the measure.

Good for them

The federal legislators that voted against giving Bush the authority to attack Iraq were villified at the time.

Good for Hodes and Shea-Porter! Bush used the telcos to illegally spy on Americans. Protect the Constitution. Support Paul and Carol!

More reason to vote against

More reason to vote against these two jokers. They have no concept of the threat we face from terrorists and their biggest concern is to hand trial lawyers a new lucrative market by allowing them to sue communications companies that assisted in tracking down foreign terrorist communications...Bravo Dems, thanks for protecting us.

No concept, huh?

So, your assertion is that Hodes and CSP are PIMPING our national security to their lawyer pals?

Hello??! Have you ever heard of Halliburton or Blackwater? War profiteering by the Bush/Cheney machine is rampant!

CSP and Hodes are protecting America from fear mongers that would have us trash our Constitution. And what do we get in return?

How do we get our rights back, once we give them away? If I have been hearing the NRA right, there is something about my "cold, dead hands." Or have you forgotten this while you cower before the spectre of bin Laden?

I'm just wondering

Who are all these American's whose constitutional rights were crushed by Evil Bush and the conspiratorial telecoms? Do you have a list of names of innocent American's who were spied on or is that a secret?

Are they related to all the innocent men who have been victims of the death penalty?

Wow! By accident, you /snarked

and stumbled upon the reason why the idea of retroactive immunity is such a big deal.
Ya see, Bush/Cheney are hiding behind their distorted version of executive priviledge and have bound the telcoms from revealing anything in the name of, a-hem..., national security.
If we could litigate the telcos, the who, what, where, when & and why would be forced to come out as part of the proceedings. The part called "discovery. Do you watch "Law and Order" I just love Fred Thompson. On TV.

Hodes and CSP Uphold the Rule of Law

Thank you, Paul Hodes and CSP, for upholding the rule of law and honoring your oath of office to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Once again you have both chosen to vote for the people instead of following along like so many others in Washington who consider the greenback a more important piece of paper than our Constitution.
